Coy

011 coy

011 “Coy” Acrylic on MDF, 7″ x 5″

My grandpa used this shaving mug and straight razor in the 1920s. Toward the end of the 1930s, he switched to a “safety” razor, but kept the mug. He had lost one eye as a boy, but was still the most sought after baseball pitcher in the county till he was nearly 60 years old. Great guy.

See You in Paris

009 see you in paris

009 “See You in Paris” Acrylic, 5″ x 7″

As for the title, I sold a small piece of art to a tourist in Paris — she never asked if I was also a tourist; she was just happy to have a piece of art done in Paris.
